Yup they sure are and give it right back to me as well. And the eggs this year OMG so many even during this cold winter, so I know they must really be happy because they could easily go on strike at any moment!

That’s a pretty Roo you have there. Barred Rock I’m guessing?
Yes he is a beautiful and sweet barred rock. Of all the roosters I have experienced this one and the little silkie roosters seem to be the most docile towards humans. Love having such a big boy to take care of my girls, he is a great watch dog!
We have a Roo that is 1/2 Barred Rock (mom) and 1/2 NH Red (dad)… he is the sweetest animal alive if he knows you, but if you are an animal getting near his ladies…watch out. His coloring is beautiful, too…I will see if I get a picture posted of him.
